French Terry fabric is a knitted terry cloth fabric that features loops and soft piles of yarn on one side, (usually the inside of a garment), and a smooth, soft surface on the other side. The result is an absorbent, light-weight, moisture-wicking material that's super comfortable to wear any day of the year. At Phee Fabrics, our French Terry has a fleece back and a tri-blend of materials. When considering the entire category of knit fabrics, French Terry is an easy variety to sew with. It has less stretch than a cotton jersey, ranging anywhere from 20 to 50%. Phee Fabrics French Terry has a 4 way stretch. Because of its limited stretch, French Terry is a relatively stable fabric to sew with.
