The pdf community has been lacking a cute muscle tank pattern for so long but finally we have the Ellie and Mac women’s sport tank! It features a lowered armscye, a hood option, two different back openings, and two necklines.

The pattern as drafted has a neckband and then the arms are hemmed but it could easily use a binding for a different crisp finish. When coupled with a cute sports bra, bralette, or bikini the larger back opening adds some fun flair while the smaller opening is super practical!

Skill Level: Beginner

Sizes: XXS-5XL

Suggested Fabrics: I used both circular knit and the rayon spandex. The circular knit is perfect for the gym with it’s moisture wicking properties and then I love the drape of the rayon spandex and would be perfect for all day wear with a cute bralette. The nylon spandex tricot would also be perfect.

Potential hacks: It would be cute to do the back with the lace yardage to give it a little extra flair and then enclosing the edges with a binding would also give a professional touch.

I was able to get a size large with the smaller opening out of a yard so I think most sizes should be able to. Hurry and get it while it’s on sale just in time for our Phee Fabrics SAL!
